sometimes i take pictures

Aside from tattooing and painting, I also enjoy photography.

My maternal grandfather had visited over 220 countries during his lifetime, however towards the end of his life could not recall even the breakfast we had earlier in the morning. You could see his frustration and sadness, knowing he had the memory, but just couldn’t get to it. His travels were certainly an early inspiration for my own, and I adopted picture taking out of fear, as a way to try to preserve my memories so that I would not lose the experiences I spent a lifetime acquiring.

While that vast majority of photos I take are just where I am, who I’m with, what we’re doing, etc, I really enjoy shooting landscapes as it is a means for me to get out of the studio and partake in a more active and immersive form of creativity. Here are some of those photos I’ve taken recently.
